The basic reference, on which type and growth individualization are applied, depends of racial/ethnic characteristics or regional preferences.

Procuste software offers a choice between two references: (1) West Europe and (2) North Africa. The default type - West European - is a classical orthodontic reference very similar to the Bolton standard face. Additional ethnic references will be available in future releases of Procuste.

The ethnic reference may be selected with the scroll box of the toolbox.
