The Procrustes cephalometric analysis carries out a diagnosis by scrutinizing the differences between the case and an optimum (Sassouni 1955) Each optimum is personalized according to typology, stage of growth and ethnic appartenance of each case.
Only eighteen cephalometric landmarks are used in the Procrustes cephalometry. If you digitize three more landmarks, the software can also compute classical values from Tweed, Ricketts and Steiner analysis.
Windows, Mac and Linux
Procuste is a DOTNET application that works on Windows (Vista and XP), Mac and Linux. All .NET application are virus safe.
- Windows Vista : Just intall and run Procuste
- Windows XP : Try to run Procuste. If you get an error message, please go to Microsoft download page to download and install the .NET Framework 2.0 or more
- Mac : Use Mono. (What is mono ?). You will find more informations when logged on Procuste download page.
- Linux : Use Mono. (What is mono ?). You will find more informations when logged on Procuste download page.
How to get digital images of your headfilms ?
- You can receive by Internet radiographs which have been initially carried out into a digital format (JPEG,Bmp, GIF, Tiff...) through the Internet.
- Scan your films using a dedicated film scanner
- Scan your headfilm tracing with any usual scanner
- Photograph your headfilms with a digital camera
